Update on the Marquee

We have now bought the marquee! (Pictured is the marquee in its original site having been kitted out by one of our wedding couples). We have now started leveling a new site for it to go on. We are working on how to heat it. Rather than going for the traditional gas or diesel space heaters we are hoping to link it up to the Heat Pump that we are buying for the main building which is more than up to the job. As with everybody we are noticing the substantial increase in costs of oil and electricity so we are starting to put in anything we can to help reduce heating and hot water costs. A real challenge as Hargate Hall is an old building!

Marquee

In order to further our goal of offering very good value to those booking Hargate Hall for weddings and other large parties, we have now purchased our own marquee. Now we just have to flatten an area to put it! This should be done in the early part of 2009.

So if you want to book your wedding at Hargate Hall and want a specific date you need to be acting now!

planning your wedding

Having had several weddings and big parties at Hargate Hall we have seen first hand how fun and successful they can be. The biggest attractions are:
The fact that you book the hall for the whole weekend so you can really spend quality time with your guests.
Guests have their own rooms or apartments so that everyone gets somewhere to relax in privacy (rather than having to spend you time in a hotel bar or restaurant).
The superb setting - we are in the heart of the Peak District National Park
And that you can choose you own food, wine and timetable of events without being given a wine list or menu A or B to choose from.

Want to know more? Have a look at our website and you can then get in touch to have a look around.

New Wedding venue

Hi. Introducing Hargate Hall, one of the Peak District and Derbyshire's newest wedding venues. Hargate Hall became licensed in May 2008 and offers a very flexible approach to your wedding. No set packages, no set menus, no corkage on alcohol! The hall is converted into self catering apartments and applies the same self catering approach to weddings. You can do all the food yourselves or get caterers in to do it for you. The choice is yours.
